Kurigram Sadar Upazila occupies the central floodplain of Kurigram District, shaped by the Brahmaputra and Dharla rivers, along with inland wetlands and beels. It is bounded by Phulbari and Nageshwari on the north, Ulipur on the south, the Indian state of Assam on the east, and Rajarhat Upazila on the west.
