Visit of Susan Krenn
Ms. Susan Krenn, Director, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health Center for Communication Programs (JHU.CCP), Baltimore, USA visited Dhaka, Bangladesh during October 27-30, 2013. The purpose of her visit was to provide technical assistance to Bangladesh Knowledge Management Initiative (BKMI) project. She assisted BKMI team with strategies and different approaches for capacity building of three units i.e. Information, Education and Motivation (IEM), Bureau Health Education (BHE) and Institute of Public Health Nutrition (IPHN) with a view to help these units to perform better.
During this visit, Ms. Susan made a presentation on “Lessons Learned in Health Communication from Around the World” on October 29, 2013 at the American Club in Dhaka where officials and representatives from Government and Non-Government organizations, Civil Society, Development Partners and the media were present.
She also met some of the key-stakeholders including the Secretary and other senior officials of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. BCCP is the management partner of JHU.CCP to implement BKMI program in Bangladesh.
